Stellar Snacks: Bringing Craft Thinking to Better-For-You Snacking

The Brief

Stellar approached us to create a disruptive identity and packaging system for a new range of grain free pretzel snacks. The ambition was to move beyond the visual language of conventional healthy snacking and create a brand that felt expressive, flavour led and creatively driven, while still communicating premium ingredients and better-for-you credentials.

The Challenge

The better-for-you snack category is often dominated by sterile wellness cues and highly functional packaging systems that struggle to create emotional engagement. The challenge was to design a brand capable of standing out on shelf while balancing appetite appeal, health communication and premium positioning. The range also needed a flexible visual system capable of supporting multiple flavours and future collaborations, while giving the brand a distinctive personality within an increasingly crowded snacking category.

The Solution

We created a bold and expressive packaging system built around flavour, craft and artistic collaboration. Vibrant colour palettes, illustrated textures and energetic typography helped establish a distinctive shelf presence, while the oversized pretzel heart became an instantly recognisable brand asset. The wider identity introduced a more cultural and design led approach to snacking, using guest artist collaborations and handcrafted visual patterns to position Stellar as a more elevated and creatively driven better-for-you brand.
